HALLO!
Welcome. As you may have guessed, this page is about the 1989 Dodge Caravan which I purchased on 9/14/02. It is not exactly the same van that your grandma heads to the grocery store in... it came from the factory with the Dodge 2.5 liter Turbo I engine, which has a relatively tiny Mitsubishi TD04 turbo blowing a maximum of 8psi of boost through the intake tract.
When I bought the van, it had a few basic mods done by the previous owner - 3" custom turbo-back exhaust with high-flow cat, manual boost controller, boost/AF ratio gauges, OEM Dodge "crab" wheels, and Mopar Performance head gasket. It is also equipped with the venerable Chrysler A413 (three-speed auto) transmission, and nearly every other factory option aside from power windows. Included with my purchase of the van was a large Ford Powerstroke intercooler, which I finally installed in the spring of 2004. I have a sizable collection of large pictures taken during the install, however my account where they were hosted recently expired and I currently don't have the bandwidth to host them here.
Other mods added recently include a 3-inch "test pipe," Dawes Devices air/fuel meter (far more accurate than the cheap ten-light Cyberdyne the van came with), Autometer mechanical oil pressure gauge, OTC 4000E diagnostic system, and last but definitely not least, a Garrett T-II turbocharger (complete with stainless steel turbo lines, adjustable wastegate actuator, and 2.5" Turbonetics swingvalve/O2 housing all from TurbosUnleashed). As with the intercooler installation, I have numerous big pics from the turbo conversion job but no place to host them at present. This will be changing sometime in the very near future.
That's about it for now... for some basic pics of the van, click here. Track times with the new setup to come sometime this summer.
